Director of Nursing, Operational and Clinical Excellence

We are assisting our venture-backed, well-funded, home health client with hiring a Director of
Nursing in the Denver, CO area. Base salary starts at $100,000 and goes up to $120,000 for a
seasoned Nursing Director. This is a hybrid role - expect to spend 60% of your time working in-person with other staff members and families while the rest of the time allows for remote work.

Our Client’s mission is to redefine care for the most vulnerable children. The healthcare system
is failing special needs children, especially those from underserved homes. It's a struggle to
find care, to afford care, and to receive the quality of care that they deserve.

Our Client is a start-up, currently in stealth mode and they are transforming home health for
special needs children from low-income families through purpose-built, thoughtful technology
and a unique care model with parents at the core.

Our Client is well-funded by world-class investors and phenomenal digital health leaders of this
decade. They’re led by a founder who grew up on Medicaid (public insurance) and personally
knows the desperation of not being able to afford medically-necessary care.

The Role
We're looking for a passionate Director of Nursing in Colorado to join our Client’s leadership
team. You'll supervise and continue to grow a clinical team of RNs, build robust operational processes to ensure optimal family experience and efficiency, contribute to a compassionate team culture, and set clinical practices to deliver the highest quality of care.

What You’ll Do:
 

  • Lead and inspire a team of RNs. You'll be involved in hiring and training the best RN case managers. You’ll build systems for accountability and quality.
  • Set high clinical operations and expectations and process improvements. You'll be focused on clinical process improvements and ensuring your team upholds the highest standards of clinical excellence.
  • Build the foundation for gathering clinical data. You’ll be responsible for defining processes for proper data gathering of clinical metrics and patient improvement.
  • Partner with operations, technology, and product teams across our Client’s organization. You'll be a critical voice for pushing initiatives to further their mission.

About You:

  • You are a physician or registered nurse with at least 3+ years of nursing/care experience and licensed in the state of Colorado, or have a compact license and are willing to relocate to the Denver, CO area.
  • Must have 1-2+ years of supervisory and management experience or health service administration experience. Bonus points given to experience in home health.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Strong communication and writing skills. Bonus points if you also speak Spanish.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • You have managed a clinical team with direct reports for at least 1 year with a demonstrated ability to define structure for a team.
  • You embody thoroughness when it comes to crafting a culture of clinical excellence.
  • You have built clinical protocols and implemented process improvements.
